I began my career in model making in 1993 as a staff artist
at The Larson Company in Tucson Arizona, two years after earning
a BFA degree in studio art, at the University of Arizona. During
my 6 years with Larson, I worked on countless models and fabrication
projects, and in 1996 I was promoted to Model Shop Supervisor.
My responsibilities expanded, giving me the opportunity to combine
my technical and artistic abilities with managing a busy studio.
I developed efficient strategies needed to coordinate multiple
projects, while maintaining high standards for workmanship and
aesthetics.
In 1999, I departed The Larson Co. to start Raven Studios.
I've since had the pleasure of working with design, fabrication,
and installation firms who specialize in creating exhibits and
environments for museums, zoos, parks, and aquariums.
